Although the Redcap is mean, horrible and deadly, the neighbors of Mother Redcap, a witch from England, considered her an asset. She was helpful and used her abilities to help cure others. | Redcaps are located in folklore in England and Scotland. Considered a type of fairy, the Redcap is a vampire- like goblin. It is rumored they have long fangs and are very evil. He has heavy iron boots and a red cap that he re-dyes with the blood of their victims. He carries, in his left hand, a pikestaff and he is very strong and fast. He attacks travelers, preferring red heads. At Hermitage Castle in Scotland, Lord Soulis allegedly practiced black magic. It is said he had a familiar named Redcap Sly. Lord Soulis was also associated with the kidnapping and sacrifice of young children during dark rites. |
