There are currently three theories available to us about orbs. Orbs are said to be digital camera flaws, dust/pollen or water, or spirits/ghosts.

DIGITAL CAMERA FLAWS:

Our pictures are a representation of many types of cameras taken by many different people. They include, but are not limited to, film and digital cameras of different makes with memory consisting of floppy disks and memory cards. Therefore, ALL of are pictures cannot be due to camera flaws.

DUST/POLLEN OR WATER:

When on an investigation we take the conditions of the environment into consideration. We diagram the exterior marking dirt driveways, plowed fields, sand pits and any other area where dust may fly. We make notes of cars passing, bugs flying or anything else that may explain an anomaly appearing on film that may be questionable. Inside we note areas that are not frequently used, drafts, animals or other movements occurring that may stir up dust.

When comparing an orb picture to our notes we use the following phrase to make our decision:
“When in doubt, toss it out!”

SPIRITS/GHOSTS:

The paranormal field has considered orbs as paranormal energy, possibly a spirit in various stages of manifesting. Orbs appear during many situations at different times of the day or night. Although this theory has not been proven, it has not been disproved either. Therefore, until it is, we will continue to post orbs we consider paranormal in nature.
