| History of Area In the late 1600’s a fort was located within close proximity of this dwelling. The rich history of this area also includes the location of a rope ferry which once transported George Washington across the Mohawk, a small settlement named after the ferry and farmland. This area of the Mohawk River was altered during the creation of the Erie Canal. Currently a large portion of this area is a flood basin and nature preserve. Historical findings state many battles happened in the area but we cannot locate the specific location of the battles. Nor can we locate the specific location of the cemeteries of the settlers from the past. The Original Interview Area Activity: These are actual excerpts from interviews with eyewitnesses Eyewitness reports: The Redhead: In the house down the road there is a female red head that used to come into the bedroom. She never talked. She would hang out at the back of the house. She was never in the front of the house. When going to the back of the house, she was there. The back of the house actually had a step where you step down. When you stepped down you felt her. She hung out in bedroom area. Probably every night she was there. She’s either from the 70’s, hippie type or back much farther like colonial times. She is wearing something long. Her face was not visible, only her hair, it is curly. At one time she touched me. The Farmer: Right here at that corner. At the left of the grill, I saw an image. I was adjusting my stereo; and I knew something was there. I looked and there in an old farmers cap, was a blobby, grayish something. It had a long coat on and the hat. It was looking in my direction I saw it twice, about a month apart, the same area and same incident. It actually ran in that direction. I ran around the deck after it. I ran around the side of the deck chasing this and it was like you see in a movie, like a blob going shruum. And then gone. A neighbor also saw it. He said he saw him on the bike path as far as two miles down standing next to the old train station. He was leaning against it. Problems in the home: Eyewitness reports: Noises heard: Knocks, coughs, doors slamming and the sound of things dropping Last year at Christmastime, there was coughing and knocking. In the beginning of December of last year, three of us heard a knocking. We also heard the coughing. Troubled sleep: Every night at 4 am, like clockwork, the youngest child gets up and comes into the parents’ room. Followed soon after by the oldest child. The youngest child doesn’t like to go to sleep stating that is when people are talking to her. She also sleeps with the lights on. Sleepwalking is now an issue. Restful sleeping is a major problem in this house. Invisible friends: The youngest daughter has an invisible friend named Katie. Lights go on: The dining room Dimmer goes on Items being moved: A towel hung over the banister. The towel waved. Strange smells: Musty, Moldy, it is gone once you hit the spot. Property Description Upon arrival to this location, we find a well-maintained and groomed yard, mowed down to the waterfront. No exposed dirt piles of any kind. The road leading to the house, as well as the driveway appears to be gravel in nature with plenty of bare trees and other winter bare, going dorment vegetation across from the house. A neighbor a few house down has an outside bon fire going. This nullifies any orbs taken in that location. The house is a newly built (within the past 2 years) colonial farmhouse located on the bank of the Mohawk River to the side of the basin, between the river and the old train tracks (currently used as a bike trial). The land the house is constructed on was part of a farm that was broken into lots. All electrical appliances and wiring are new and fall under the current Energy Star guidelines. The residents have many friends dropping in and out all evening making it next to imposable to control all data. Therefore, some findings will have to be excluded as evidence.
