This site was visited by IMOVES at the request of a co-owner of the property. This request was prompted by apparitional sightings and apparent poltergeist activity. The co-owner was interviewed and described in detail the events leading up to the request for IMOVES to investigate.

History of Area

A historical marker is located at the beginning of the road that leads to our investigation site. In 1634, Harmen Mayndertsz van den Bogaert visited many castles (Indian towns). One of these castles as described on the marker, was located close to the property we investigated. Little history of the events of this town has been located. However, most castles were relocated every 20 years or so because they relied on Mother Nature to help supplement their food source and would have to relocate if game or crops could not support their village.

There is no record of where the Indian Village came from or where it went to. It disappeared leaving very little information behind. It was located across the street from this residence. But how far from this location is undetermined. An Indian dumpsite containing broken pottery, etc. is also located on other side of the street.  It is rumored that the burial ground was located across the street in a neighbors’ back yard.

The Original Interview
These are the actual transcripts from the taped interview.

Fall 2003:
“Walking to the mailbox I watch the woods to the left hand side going toward the mailbox and there was a man holding a musket gun wearing furs… I took him as a trapper…All the way to the mailbox never took my eyes off of him…Turned my head long enough to put my hand in and turn back and he was gone. There was no rustling of the leaves, no breaking of branches, no nothing…He just disappeared.”

Early May 2004:
“Standing in my kitchen doing dishes and I watch an Indian girl run out, run around as if she is running around my dirt piles out front, trip and fall. While she’s running she’s looking behind her. The feeling I got from her is that she was running because she’s scared to death. Something’s chasing her.”

Loud Banging:
“There has been some very loud bangs on the side of my trailer. And some of the bangs have been so hard that one of then actually rocked my trailer. My husband & my son have come put here in the winter time when it’s happened and there are no foot prints no nothing out here that you can visibly see that would have caused that load bang on my trailer, none.”

Pushing:
“The minute I step off my porch I have a force that pushes so hard it all but pushes me back in the house.”

Property Description

Upon arrival at this site, we have found a cleared lot under going major land clearing with heavy equipment. On this lot is an established house trailer that has been there approximately eight years. Also:

1) There is playground equipment, a pool and a picnic area are located near the home.

2) In addition, there are also outbuildings, heavy equipment, a pet cemetery and several cleared paths into the woods are within sight.

3) There are four different areas in back that have trails coming out of the woods where someone can come in and out unnoticed.

4) A lot of big yard and dirt moving equipment, a large tractor-trailer retainer with an open door, a large garbage bin that could be lifted by a bear or raccoon, which when slamming down the lid afterwards, it would make a loud noise. A loud noise in this area would create a big echo.

5) There are definitely places were kids could easily get in and out by any direction.

6) Simple wild life could easily explain 60 to 70 % of noises heard in back yard, and the deep part of the woods. A simple cat meowing in an area like this could give you the impression of a child crying, or laughing, or playing. There is a lot of wild life creating a lot of song and whistles.

7) There are a lot of old tree roots, trunks, and piles of wood. It is very easy, at a glance from a distance, for them to give the appearance of a human being, a shadow, or that someone’s standing there.

8) There is also different colored equipment buried in the woods which can also give the impression that someone wearing clothes is there when actually it is just a piece of equipment.

9) There are a lot of dead trees, which also gives the appearance, at a distance of someone being there.
