Upon arrival at the location, a map is drawn. The map should show the interior and exterior of the site

OUTSIDE: map the layout of property marking buildings, driveways (label type: dirt, stone, paved, etc.), roads, fields (label type: hay, plowed, etc.), sand pits, animal dwellings and trails, lights, lampposts, power lines and poles, and the directions (N, S, E, W). Also, mark location of camcorder on tripods and the direction you are taping.

INSIDE: map layout of rooms noting frequency of use (ex. Attic barely used and dusty, attic now a bedroom and used daily), fans, heat/ air vents, air conditioners, appliances- (take ELF readings, etc.), animals (ex. birdcages), drafts. Also, mark location of camcorder on tripods and the direction you are taping.
